This image was taken from a quote in Rober MacFarlane’s book ‘The River is Alive’. It describes three shooting stars as being like ‘’three scratches on the Earth’s tin’. My lovely friend commissioned me to make this for her.

Sunshine bounced off the water after braving the incoming tide to fetch mussels for our dinner. We ran around to dry and warm up, sand kicked up, hands reaching for biscuits and damp socks. The light was going and it was nearly time for home.

The clouds were moving with so much wind that a piece of paper fell on to the plate as I was putting it through the press - a mysterious object in the landscape.
